Deaformazione website

DeA Scuola Formazione is a website dedicated to teachers' training.

GOALS

The project started before the main Deascuola website was released. One of the goals was to be consistent with Deascuola's design and style, while still finding its own voice.

‍

Previously the training courses were distributed on 3 different websites. The main aim of the project was to create only one website, including every typology of courses, but still present the difference between the different typologies of courses.

CHALLENGE

The offer is still growing and evolving, the owners of the project are still figuring out exactly what they need.

WHAT I DID

• Benchmark analysis
• internal workshop with the project owners, to define requirements and main functionalities

• information architecture

• low fidelity wireframes using Axure
• high fidelity wireframes using Sketch 

• focus on error prevention and handling: page 404, friendly and useful error message, paying a lot of attention on microcopy and recovering.
• emails design, with particular attention to microcopy:

• reviewed user tests (conducted externally) and gathered insights for redesign

The website, unfortunately, became quickly obsolete, due to the 2020 pandemic: online courses become more important at that time, but the moment the offering is still evolving. A redesign in my opinion would be needed but it’s not scheduled yet.
